BaloonFest 2008

This Saturday morning, we got up before the sunshine to go to Redbud Park for the local balloon festival. Mommy and daddy raced in a 10k at 8am, just as the first batch of hot air balloons took flight. Grant and I got to play with our babysitter, Victoria, while mommy and daddy ran. We played on the swings, watched the balloons, and went down the slide - what a fun morning! Mommy and daddy did well in their race, too - they both took home first place for their age groups. After mommy and daddy were done running, I got to ride a pony!! Actually, she was a horse, not a pony. Her name was candy! One of my favorite things! What a nice horsey. Of course, I'm so small, mommy had to hold me in place. Thanks for the ride, Candy!

A Free Ride

His face may not show it, but baby Grant loves it when I give him a ride in his new Radio Flyer car!! And I don't even mind pushing. Mommy says it makes her job easier. It's so much fun cooperating like this, I could go all the way around the block!

Teagan's Run

Today, daddy ran a local 5k to benefit a little girl named Teagan. Here she is, awarding daddy the gold medal in his age group. GOOD JOB, DADDY! We're so proud of him. And Mr. Daniel got the bronze medal in the same age group. YAY MR. DANIEL! Here I am, waiting around. Mommy walked 1.5 miles with baby brother and me while daddy ran his race. He we all are at the finish line. Baby brother had a great time visiting with Miss Jenn, Mr. Daniel, and Mr. Dan's mommy, Candie. :)

Hat

I love my new hat - I could wear it every day. And often, I do!

Motorin'

Watch as baby brother walks across the living room!!! Sometimes he can move really fast. Oooops! Too fast - that's ok, Buddy, get back up and try again!

Singin' in the rain...

I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'!!!

San Antonio Take Two: Day Four

This weekend, Daddy, Mommy, Grant and I went down to San Antonio to meet with Hommie and Dabi. We had such a fun weekend! Our very last morning together, we took this picture with Hommie and Dabi on our hotel room balcony. We spent the weekend on the River Walk, in a hotel with balconies facing the River Walk - it was beautiful. I was so happy to have the chance to see my Hommie and Dabi again - I missed them! They're so much fun! Thanks for the wonderful weekend, Hommie and Dabi! We love you!

San Antonio Take Two: Day Three

Today we went to Sea World again! Here I am with Shamu and a Dolphin. And here we are, waiting for the Shamu show to start. I CAN'T WAIT! Look, Shamu is smiling at me! We had great seats this time - I didn't have to sit on daddy's shoulders to see. Hommie, Dabi, Grant and a lot of fish.
We got to feed the dolphins up reeeeeeeally close. Say, "AAAAAAA," Mr. Dolphin. Grant was a little bit frightened, but Dabi loved it - he even petted them!!! Here's one of those pretty dolphins up close. Here we are, getting ready to go out to the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate Grant's birthday.

San Antonio Take Two: Day Two

On our second day in San Antonio, we went to the Zoo! Here, Grant and I are wrestling a Komodo Dragon. Then, we got to play with butterflies! Baby almost caught one! They're SOO pretty, Mommy!
Then I got to feed... And feed... (say, "Aaaaaa," Mr. Goat)... And GROOM some goats!
LIZARDS! SSSSSNAKES! HIPPOS TOO!
After the zoo, we took a train ride through the park. It was my first time on a train! Baby brother and Dabi enjoyed the ride too. After dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, we went for a stroll along the River Walk and WHAMMO! We found the ALAMO! And then, later that evening, we took a boat ride around the River Walk - we heard music as we passed some dancers on the river's edge, and Grant started clapping! DANCE BABY, DANCE!!

San Antonio Take Two: Day One

Our first night in San Antonio, we went to a very authentic Mexican Restaurant in Market Square, where we were serenaded by a Mariachi Band. They were so much fun! And I danced and danced! Even Baby Bro had a blast with his Dabi!
