Cooking the bird

Grandpa and I are watching the crazy people fry the turkey. Here are the crazy people frying a turkey. Thank goodness, my daddy, Uncle Mark and Grampy had everything under control the entire time and nothing blew up, and the turkey tasted great! It didn't hurt that Uncle Mark took out flying turkey insurance, too.

My new high chair

YAY! My new high chair arrived this evening. Mommy put it together, and I ate my first dinner in my new chair. It's very cool! Look at all the fun things to do...

Makin' the Bed

Here I am helping mommy and daddy make their bed. Actually, don't tell them, but this is my conspiracy to get them to let me sleep here. I'm just going to sit here as long as I can, and I'm not going anywhere. It's sooo warm and comfortable.

Hooray for Healthy Babies!

Here I am, festively eating dinner. Mommy and Daddy took me to see Dr Steadman today for an appointment. He said I look healthy and "perfect"! They measured me at 12lbs 12oz and 25 and 3/4in. That makes me 10th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. Does that make me a string bean? Must be. The doctor also gave me lots of shots that made me cranky. But hopefullyI won't get sick now since I've had my shots. Dr Steadman said it doesn't worry him that I've lost my voice. He thinks I'll get it back soon. He said that's perfectly common for a fall cold.

I can sit on my own! I can sit on my own! I did it for five whole minutes today! Mommy and Daddy are so proud.

Time for solids

It's time to start solids! Tonight I had my first meal of rice cereal. I LOVED IT! I ate the whole thing then licked the bowl. We don't have a high chair yet...but daddy makes a good substitute. Yummmmmmmmy!!!

But I'd much rather feed myself...

It's amazing how this works! I know there's more in here...and I'm going to find it. Ahh the pleasures of feeding myself...

Mommy says that Halloween is just around the corner, and I'd better get ready. So I thought I'd try on one of my costumes today...do you think this will work? I just can't decide... But it sure does get me lots of cuddles!

My Cousin: Baby Courtney

My baby cousin Courtney was born this Sunday, 10/15/06 at 7:32am. She was a little baby! Only 4lbs 6oz. I can't wait to meet her in person - maybe early next week.
