Sleepy Sheepies

Grant put his head down on the table during lunch today and said, "I'm sleepy." Here is mommy attempting to reenact that scene for the video camera. I am more than willing to help out, as you can see...

Bird Feeder

This morning, we saw FIVE BIRDS eating from our feeder all at the SAME TIME!!! Here, we caught three on camera. We especially like the pretty red one...

Grant is crazy.

Grant playing with a ball in a fountain at the McWane Science Center. Notice he says, "I did it!" before he actually does it! Haha.

McWane Science Center - Birmingham, AL

Our first trip to the McWane Science Center in Birmingham. We were so impressed by the IMAX and exhibits, we bought a membership. I take my excavation extremely seriously...here I am, uncovering dinosaur fossils.Look! Grant found some CHEESE! In the crazy proportion room, where the end of the room is teeny tiny, and makes you look like a giant, we found a really cool video camera... Which Grant REEEALLY loved. Here we are, playing with the giant handprint pin board. I think Mommy won that game. Look! The water holds the ball up in the air!!! Making messes with water is always fun, if you ask me. I think Grant is a big fan too. He's such a miserable little boy...always whining and moaning. Nothing is ever any fun for him. The gerbil running the train... Choochoo with daddy. I learned how to operate heavy machinery. And somewhere, Grant and Mommy found the fossils from the biggest turtle I have EVER seen! Here I am, golfing... But then I got frustrated, and picked up the ball and put it in the hole by hand. I don't think anyone noticed. Grant, on the other hand, is already a semi-pro at golf, with Daddy's help.

Favorite Places & Hiding Spaces

My new BIG GIRL BED!!! I picked out my new bedding with mommy the other day...chose it all by myself!! It's purple. Purple is for Keira. A handful of my toys are kept in the bookshelves in my bedroom... But the bulk of my toys can be found in my office (walk-in closet with large window). Grant's room - his crib is to the right, his closet, to the left.

House

My new home as seen from the street. Eventually, we will be able to fit the cars into the garage. Mommy says that won't be until after our yard sale. ;-) Entryway, as seen from living room. Living room, as seen from entry way. Living room, as seen from kitchen. Kitchen, as seen from living room. Eat-in kitchen area as seen from entryway/living room. Birdfeeder view from eat-in kitchen. Master bedroom suite left. Laundry, half bath, garage right.More kitchen - please excuse our mess, we are still unpacking, obviously. Here is MY SLIDE - and some other stuff in the background (deck, patio, fire pit, shed, etc.) MY SLIDE, again...and the other stuff (hills, trees, trees, grass grass grass, shrubs, frogs, crickets, beetles, spiders, birds, birds, birds). More trees. More hills, and grass. My new house from the bottom of the hill in our back yard - or, as daddy calls it, from out in the "wilderness." The office. Teehee. We've still got some work to do in there...

Johnson Space Center - Houston, TX

Here we are, on our way to Alabama - we stopped in Houston at the Johnson Space Center, where they have mission control for all of the big rocket ships they send to outer space. "Mission Contol, please get us the specially trained astronaut prodigy, Grant Vlaun on the line - we've got a problem up here." Baby brother especially loved the astronauts in their space suits.Grant and I even had the chance to drive one of the speed racers from Star Wars!! WHEEEEEEE! This is the slide that I found. It said I had to be 4 years or older to ride it, but I don't take those warnings too seriously, because I am a little daredevil. It was reeeeeally fun!!! Posing by the rocket boosters of the Saturn V. Each rocket cylinder could fit like 10,000 Grants, they're SOOOOO big!!! This space ship is HUGE, dude - 363 ft long and 6.5 million pounds!! Mommy says she's amazed they ever get off the ground. I must admit, I agree. Mommy, I think this one is about to launch!!! Wait, Grant! Your delaying the launch! Grant and Mommy, snuggling while we learn about the grove of trees planted - a tree for each astronaut lost for space exploration.

Baptism - Jun 21

This is our big day! Pastor Bailey is going to baptize Grant and me. Here I am, pious and angelic - ready for my baptism. But this whole water on the head thing...yeah, I'm not a major fan. By the looks of it, neither is Grant.
