Straight Thuggin'

Here I am, thugging it up in daddy's winter hat. I found the hat in the car and put it on all by myself. Actually, I only look thuggish because I'm still a little sick and groggy. But we were on the way to the zoo, so I was actually pretty happy!

Abilene Zoo Encore Once More

Daddy, look at the pink birds with weird legs! Chasing pheasants...I'm so silly. Feeding giraffes is pretty interesting, but I didn't like when the giraffe licked my finger - that was gross.

Zoo cont'd...

Zebras with mommy. Feeding the geese. Silly monkeys! Woah mommy, that's a big kitty. I'm outta here!

Dinner time!

Yuppers, it's dinner time. Everyone ate dinner together for the first time, tonight! Even Grant had a little cereal and applesauce. He did pretty well with the cereal, at least. And of course, I made a huge mess with my spaghetti sauce. So what else is new?

Does he like applesauce??

Nope.

Hide and Seek

Grant!? WHERE ARE YOU!? Oh here he is, Mommy! He's hiding in the clean clothes! Ahhhh the strange things we will do to keep ourselves occupied while we're stuck at home...

Putzing Around the House - AKA Teaching Baby Brother the Ways of the World

Grant and I have been sick all week, so we haven't left the house much. Grant had an ear infection and RSV, and I've had a fever for the past few days. Here are some of the fun things we have done under house arrest. Here I am, finger painting for the first time! Mommy had better save this - it could be worth millions someday. And here I am, showing Grant how to use the dino, "OK, so you put the ball in here, and then it plays a song. But BE CAREFUL, because sometimes you can pinch your fingers..." "This one's a jealous jack-a-lope, this one's a mule that has overeaten, and this one's a homesick cow. That's why they are all such strange colors." How would he ever learn without my help?

More Swing Time

I'm sick again today...but that didn't stop me from swining. Nor did it stop Grant. He likes to swing HIGH!

DADDY TIME!

Yeah, we love our daddy. It's crazy that he can even smile when he's got an ear infection and RSV. What an amazing little baby my brother is!

On the Road Again

This Sunday, we took baby brother for his very first bike ride. He even has his own helmet! (actually, it's my old helmet, but mommy and daddy painted it blue so he wouldn't have to wear pink - but shhhh - don't tell him) Here we all are....ready to take off! After the trip, we played around outside a little bit, too. It was a beautiful day.

Redbud Park

This afternoon, mommy took us to the playground. I was actually brave enough to climb on the playground, all by myself, while mommy watched baby brother. I even slid down the slides, and crawled through the tunnels. See mommy in this picture? When we were done, my hair was a mess. I have no idea how it got that way!

Wagon Ride

Here, Mackguire, Creed and Annie pull baby brother along in his wagon. He loved that! Afterward, I tried to pull him, too. But I'm too little...and not strong enough. :( Maybe in a few months.

Grant's Bath Evolution

OK...so maybe it's almost time to put baby brother in the big kid bath. Since he can sit on his own now...and make HUGE splashes all over the mirror. That kid thinks he's so cute, making big messes. See?! Look at him splashing! I hope you're ready to help clean that up, Mister!

Flirting

Saturday night, we had Miss Shannon and Mr. Mike over for dinner. So I got to play all evening with my friends Connor and Nicholas. We made huge messes together and then jumped on my bed. Miss Shannon says Connor is quite skilled at getting the girls to show him their bedrooms...I'm not sure if this is a highly respected skill, but I think she's right.

First Foods for Baby Boy

This Saturday morning, baby brother had his first real food breakfast. Well...I guess you can't really call it that. It was mostly milk, with only a little bit of cereal. AND he didn't really eat any of it. Mommy says we'll try again next week.

Hommie & Dabi Visited!!

Grant got lots of time to play with his Hommie and Dabi when they came to visit. He had so much fun. Hommie sure knows how to make him laugh and smile...of course, he is pretty ticklish. All together now: "AWWWWWWWW" And Hommie brought me a tea set. So I had tea with Hommie, HaHa (my monkey) and Rosa. It was a beautiful teatime. And of course, we had piggy back rides with daddy. Grant wasn't so sure about the whole matter, but I thought it was fun.

Lauren & Adelaide

Mommy "babysat" Lauren and Adelaide last week. Here I am, drawing with Lauren. She is teaching me about the different colors. And Adelaide sorted cups...she was also learning her colors. We had so much fun playing together - Lauren and Addie are so polite!
