Christmas - Early!

We just received an awesome jogging stroller in the mail yesterday from Mom and Dad V. Look at the snug carseat that fits into the top of it so I can run with a newborn!! How cool - Thanks Mom & Dad!!!

Finished Product - The Nursery

Thanks to Dad F, the nursery is nearly complete! All we need is a mattress for the crib. Looks a little snug in there though...if we get any more furniture, we may need to get rid of that bed!

Safari Theme

We hope Baby Mulch enjoys safari animals...we can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl!!!

Painting the Nursery

Meg painting the nursery walls - green and yellow since we don't know the gender.

Where are my boots?

Sid decided to take a siesta in the box from Meg's new boots.

Thanksgiving 2005

This Thanksgiving we spent the day with a few great friends just five houses up the street. Chrisi's parents came into town from Colorado Springs to make the turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes, everyone else brought the rest. It was a fantastic, traditional feast. Here are Meg, Chrisi and Doughty hamming it up after the meal.
Jeff, Brian and Erich looking content after the feast.

Air Force v Army Game - 11/5/05

A ginormous American Flag ceremony during halftime. The flag covered the entire football field. Unfortunately, we lost 24 to 27. We'll get them next year - just you wait! The whole game brought back memories for Brian, of standing throughout the entire game with the rest of the cadets, and going down to the field to do pushups after each Air Force score.

Tailgating

Meg, Jenn, Daniel and Mike, Kathy and Jill (Daniel's cousins) tailgating before the game. Jill makes the BEST chocolate covered strawberries!!! I do believe I'm eating a bratwurst on a fork in this picture...

Falcon Mascot

The Acadmy Falcon mascot beating up an Army (USMA) fan in the bleachers. Unfortunately, later on, the Falcon got chased down and beaten up by the Army Mule mascot. Foreshadowing? Possibly.

New Baby Mulch

Hi, it's me, Meg. For all those who didn't already know...I'm pregnant! We had our first doctor's appointment today with Dr Bernhard (who is very young, and so awesome). Dr Bernhard said that she has a friend who ran through her whole pregnancy, so she has no problems if I want to continue running. I'm so excited about that! The Doc wanted to be sure about how old Little Mulch is, and decided to give us an ultrasound to take a peek. We got to see Little Mulch kick and move around (she made him/her feisty with all that prodding), and we even got to see the heartbeat! Can you see the head and shoulder and feet in this picture? Look at that huge head...yeah, it might be a genius - or that might just be normal at this age. So enjoy! This is an ultrasound at 9 weeks and 5 days. More to come! ~Meg

Glacier National Park

Looking down into the falls near Avalanche lake. Where's Meg? Atop Siyeh (pronounced "sigh-yee") pass. Beautiful view of Grinnell Point and Swiftcurrent lake. Meg's tired, but enjoying the campfire. Brian in campground at dusk. Meg cresting Siyeh Bend.
